Remote Counsel Streaming
Features
- No software costs. Neither court reporter nor attorney need purchase software to utilize Remote Counsel Stream. Other streaming provider requires expensive software subscriptions.
- Transcripts are accessible after the deposition concludes and can be saved as an ASCII file. Other streaming provider's transcript is not available once the reporter disconnects.
- Remote Counsel Streams can be "time shifted" so that the video is also available after the deposition concludes. There is no extra charge to have depositions time-shifted.

Streaming Equipment
Video
Courtroom Connect provides two methods for streaming: streaming from a videoconference unit, and mobile streaming through a VBrick encoder.
- Streaming Suites (via videoconference) - Remote Counsel Members can simply turn on a videoconference unit at the deposition and Courtroom Connect will take the audio/video from the videoconference unit and stream it out to viewers.
- Mobile Streaming (via VBrick encoder) - For a more mobile solution, Courtroom Connect provides the VBrick encoder. This unit works with s-video or composite input and RCA from the videographer's camera. The onsite requirements include a high-speed Internet connection and Port 80 open outbound.
Real-time Text
- Remote Counsel - To stream Remote Counsel web-based text, the reporter needs Case Catalyst 4.5 or higher, or Cat Shuttle software (a free download).
